We are building a community of ceramic artists whose journey, skills, and presence offer more than just technique — we’re looking for instructors who embody the spirit of craftsmanship, reflection, and generosity.

At Domaines de Crafts, teaching is not a performance — it’s a conversation, a transmission, and a moment of shared growth. We welcome artists with strong technical foundations in ceramics, natural glazing, kiln building, and studio practices, who are equally passionate about sharing what they know and continuing to learn from others.

Our instructors are curious minds and skilled hands: they may not all be famous, but they walk a meaningful path — one that invites others to walk alongside them. We value those who find beauty in both simplicity and complexity, and who understand that teaching is not a detour from their art, but a way to deepen it.

We are especially interested in artists who:

  • Have solid knowledge of clay work, from hand-building to firing
  • Understand the science and soul of natural glazes and elemental techniques
  • Are capable of adapting to both indoor and outdoor teaching environments
  • Enjoy engaging with the public and answering technical questions
  • Can teach other artists — not just beginners — with humility, clarity, and passion
  • Know how to create a space where creativity, rigor, and openness coexist

As a traveling instructor with Domaines de Crafts, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Host classes in beautiful, meaningful locations
  • Meet fellow artists, students, and patrons who value craftsmanship
